Thai Massage in Shezi: Across Bailing Bridge, Only Five Shops on the List

2026-09-21

QUICK ANSWER Shezi has five listed Thai massage shops, all at its southern end: Zhongzheng Rd No. 622 and 637, Yanping N. Rd Sec. 5 No. 178 and 186, and Shezheng Rd No. 66. Ninety minutes runs a little over NT$1,000 to NT$1,500. Nothing north of Section 6. Residents ride out; visitors should not make a special trip.

Shezi has no MRT station. It has no night market either.

Cross Bailing Bridge after nine in the evening and the road belongs to buses and delivery scooters. Look for Thai massage in a place like this and the list is short.

Five shops on our registry.

Five door numbers, all in one corner

Shezi is shaped like a tongue pushed out into the river, and Yanping North Road is numbered from Section 5 all the way to Section 9. The Thai shops, though, are all packed at the root of the tongue: the tail of Zhongzheng Road and the first few hundred metres of Section 5.

清邁星辰泰式養生館-士林 (Chiang Mai Star)Zhongzheng Rd No. 622216 · 4.7
新泰屋泰式養生館 (Xin Tai Wu)Zhongzheng Rd No. 637204 · 4.6
蘭泰坊泰式按摩 (Lan Tai Fang)Yanping N. Rd Sec. 5 No. 178, 1F142 · 4.5
泰和軒泰式SPA養生會館 (Tai He Xuan)Yanping N. Rd Sec. 5 No. 186140 · 5.0
泰和苑泰式按摩養生會館 (Tai He Yuan)Shezheng Rd No. 66119 · 4.8

All five sit between one hundred and two hundred-odd reviews. No thousand-review houses here. The customers are residents who walk home afterwards, and residents rarely bother to post.

清邁星辰泰式養生館-士林 and 新泰屋泰式養生館 face each other across Zhongzheng Road, even numbers on one side and odd on the other — a minute to cross. 蘭泰坊泰式按摩 and 泰和軒泰式SPA養生會館 are eight door numbers apart. Deepest in is 泰和苑泰式按摩養生會館 at Shezheng Rd No. 66, about ten minutes on foot from Yanping N. Rd Sec. 5 and already in purely residential streets.

North of Section 6, the list is empty. Sections 7, 8 and 9, out toward Shezi Island, go to sleep at nightfall. Do not go looking in there.

How to use the five

Price first. Street-level rates: ninety minutes of Thai for a little over NT$1,000 up to NT$1,500, oil adding NT$200–300 or so, all as posted on site. Same tier as the shops beside MRT Shilin, one tier below Tianmu.

The highest score of the five belongs to Tai He Xuan: 140 reviews, a perfect 5.0. The cost is that after eight on Friday and Saturday nights it is often full. The number is 02 2812 0290 — call before you leave the house. The earlier piece on the blocks around Tai He Xuan covers where to go when it is booked out, so I will not repeat it.

For a weeknight walk-in, I would try the two on Zhongzheng Road first. Two hundred-odd reviews suggests steadier traffic, and better odds of a free slot.

Tai He Yuan suits people who live around Shezheng Road. Five minutes from the table to your own shower — that is its only edge over the other four, and it is enough.

First-timers should book sixty minutes. Dry Thai stretching is not for everyone, and stopping halfway does not get your money back. For the difference between dry, oil and estate-style, see how to pick a Thai massage in Taipei.

Full house: south or east?

South. Yanping North Road and Chongqing North Road both run straight into Datong District, about ten minutes by scooter. 泰金麒 泰式養身會館 at Chongqing N. Rd Sec. 3 No. 127 has 560-plus reviews and a 4.9, the most-reviewed Thai shop along that line; 上城泰式養生館 at No. 239 on the same road has thirty-odd reviews and a 4.1 — a backup to the backup. Further south, 雞蛋花泰式養生館 at Minzu W. Rd No. 38 has 240-plus. The full list is on Datong massage & spa.

East means doubling back. Cross Bailing Bridge to MRT Shilin, where 錫安泰式按摩養生館 at Zhongzheng Rd No. 200 has 210-plus reviews and a 4.3, two minutes from the exit. If you are taking the MRT home, this is the smoothest finish. The whole Zhongzheng Road strip is laid out in Shilin Thai massage & spa.

Want a foot massage rather than being stretched? Shezi has nothing for you. Go to Wenlin Road.

Who should not come

Bluntly: if you do not live nearby, do not make a special trip to Shezi for a massage.

What these five offer is distance. For someone living around Huludu, they are shops you can walk to within ten minutes of getting off work. For someone living in Da’an or Xinyi, they are the same grade of shop with an extra bus transfer.

If you are at Shilin Night Market, do not cross the bridge either. The market thins out around half past ten, the walk to Zhongzheng Rd No. 622 takes thirty minutes or so, and a ninety-minute session ends past midnight — the last MRT runs around midnight, and you will miss it. Stay on Wenlin Road and get your feet done.

Getting home

Residents walk or ride. No problem there.

Visitors should plan the return first. Buses on Zhongzheng Road thin out after eleven at night, with last departures varying by route. You can flag a taxi at the Yanping N. Rd Sec. 5 junction, but late at night you will wait; a ride-hailing app is more realistic. MRT Shilin is about five minutes away by car.

Drivers: street parking on Yanping N. Rd Sec. 5 is scarce, the lanes are narrow, and red lines get towed. If dinner included alcohol, leave the car where it is and call a designated driver.

From December to February the wind on the river side is much harder than on the Shilin Station side, and you leave a massage with your pores open. Bring a jacket. For the rest of the district, see the Shilin guide; full addresses are on Shilin massage & spa.

FAQ

How many Thai massage shops are there in Shezi?

Five on our list. Chiang Mai Star at Zhongzheng Rd No. 622, Xin Tai Wu at No. 637, Lan Tai Fang at Yanping N. Rd Sec. 5 No. 178, Tai He Xuan at No. 186, and Tai He Yuan at Shezheng Rd No. 66 — all within a ten-minute walk of each other. From Section 6 to Section 9 of Yanping North Road, the list has no Thai shop.

What does Thai massage cost in Shezi?

Street-level rates: ninety minutes of Thai for a little over NT$1,000 up to NT$1,500, a tier below Tianmu and about the same as the shops beside MRT Shilin. Exact prices as posted on site; if there is no price list at the door, ask before you go in.

Shezi has no MRT. How do I get there?

MRT Shilin is at Zhongzheng Rd No. 215. Head west along Zhongzheng Road across Bailing Bridge — about twenty minutes on foot, a few stops by bus, roughly five minutes by taxi. People who live inside Shezi mostly ride scooters; scooter bays on Yanping N. Rd Sec. 5 are far easier to find than car spaces.

What if all five are full?

Two fallbacks. South, about ten minutes by scooter, to Chongqing N. Rd Sec. 3 in Datong, where 泰金麒 泰式養身會館 at No. 127 has 560-plus reviews and a 4.9. Or east, back to MRT Shilin, where 錫安泰式按摩養生館 at Zhongzheng Rd No. 200 is right by the station.

Is Shezi worth a special trip for a massage?

No. These five serve the people who live nearby; the prices match street-level shops downtown, with an extra leg of transport. If you are at Shilin Night Market, stay on Wenlin Road or the near end of Zhongzheng Road. If you are downtown, search by MRT line.
