Guanyin doesn't owe you a KTV.
The Guanyin district page says as much; this piece unpacks it. A coastal town's singing options come in three: one guesthouse, a few unnamed bars, and Zhongli thirty minutes away. Which is right depends on which kind of night you're having.
Night one: eight people, staying over
SNA VILLA Brand Hospitality Guesthouse at Dahu Rd Sec. 2 No. 1-99 — five stars, 170-plus reviews. The only entry on the Guanyin KTV list, and it's a guesthouse. Whole-house rental, KTV and karaoke included, sing as late as you like without bothering anyone.
The logic is clear: enough people, staying the night, sea by day. Caota dunes by four, sunset around six-thirty in summer, out before dark; stir-fry on Zhongshan Rd, seated before eight-thirty; back by nine and the room is yours. Fewer people, forget it — renting a house so four of you can sing doesn't add up. When booking, ask two things: how current the songbook is, and how late the sound can run. Guesthouse KTV isn't chain spec; older playlists are normal, and volume curfews follow house rules.
Night two: local, two songs
Karaoke bars exist along Zhongshan Rd — small, old songbooks, half the seats regulars. Usually room or table plus drinks; ask first. They're not on our list, so we don't name them: we haven't checked each one, and writing them up would be invention. Walk Zhongshan Rd at dusk and step into whatever's lit. Frankly, this night belongs to people who live here. Visitors rarely find it to their taste.
Night three: rooms, new songs, buffet
Then go to town. Route 66 to Zhongli, about thirty minutes, quiet and straight at night. On the Zhongli KTV list: Cashbox Zhongli Zhongyang at Zhongyang E. Rd No. 88, 4,400-plus reviews, the most rooms in the city; Party Zhongli at Datong Rd No. 136, 4.8 and 3,400-plus, service often praised; Holiday Zhongli Zhongmei at Zhongmei Rd Sec. 2 No. 137, 2,300-plus; Star Avenue KTV at Fuxing Rd No. 8, 3,100-plus, between chain and karaoke bar, a tier cheaper.
Chains bill per head by slot — weekday afternoons cheapest, Friday-Saturday after eight dearest. From Guanyin, the smoothest run is sunset on the coast, dinner at seven, sing at nine, out by midnight. The return is the cost: no convenient transit, drive or pre-book a car; if you drink, designated driver. Or flip it — stay in Zhongli, come back to the sea by day.

Xinwu and Longtan look much the same; the Longtan-Guanyin KTV report compares Longtan's two listings with this one, and Guanyin and Xinwu at night explains why dusk, not night, is the coast's main act. Singing was never the lead here. The sunset is.
