Three numbers first: four, twenty-four, zero.
That is Pingzhen’s registered night trade — four bars and beer houses, twenty-four massage and wellness shops, no KTV at all. More than eight in ten of the twenty-eight are in the same business: taking the day off your shoulders.
So no, this is not a drinking district. It is an unknotting one.
Four against twenty-four is the whole personality
Pingzhen leans on Zhongli. TRA Zhongli Station is about a ten-minute drive out; the Longtan interchange on Freeway 3 onto Provincial Highway 66 is a similar ten-odd minutes. The upside of that geography is also the catch — plenty of Pingzhen nights actually happen next door: drinks in Zhongli, singing in Zhongli, supper at Xinming Night Market. What stays inside the district line is the hour before home.
Dealing with that hour in your own district beats driving downtown and back.
Twenty-four houses, laid out by house number
They do not cluster on one street; they sit in a handful of neighbourhood pockets:
- Fushou Rd into Yuda Rd: 夏沐足湯養生館 at 1F, Fushou Rd 20, five stars from 1,100-plus reviews, the district’s most; 東立足體養生館 at Yuda Rd 131 with 4.8 stars, 聚禾養生工坊 at No. 55, five stars.
- Huannan Rd into Wenhua St: 晨美CHERMAY越式洗頭 at 4F, Sec. 2 of Huannan Rd 23, five stars and 680-plus reviews; 沐恩經典美學SPA at Wenhua St 224 and 憶芃Eapon Spa at 1F, No. 26.
- The Zhongzheng Rd side near Longgang: 明流推拿按摩 at Sec. 3 of Zhongzheng Rd 77, five stars, 330-plus reviews; 信師傅 傳統整復推拿 at Zhongzheng 5th Rd 3, appointment-only — turn up unannounced and you will likely find the door shut.
- Nanjing Rd, two of them: M.S媚莎微e美 平鎮店 at No. 14, five stars and 630-plus reviews, and 筑裕美容美體spa館 at No. 70, under sixty house numbers apart.
- Zhongfeng Rd, one per section: 長青舒壓館 at Shanding Sec. 89 with 4.7 stars and 驊真養生館 at Nanshi Sec. 2, No. 99 with 4.5 — the weaker ratings in the district, but both sit on the artery you already drive.
- Thai, two only: 龍泰泰式按摩 at Zhengyi Rd 58 and 戴林泰式按摩 at Maosan Rd 10, both 4.9 stars.
- Scattered elsewhere: ADxyzDA & 66 經絡推拿工作室 at Sec. 2 of Yanping Rd 187, 養生天下經絡調理會館 at Xinde St 258, 元氣郎整復推拿 at Xinfu 5th St 87, all around 4.9.
Now the honest part.
One of those twenty-four does not work on people. 伴你一生寵物美容Spa會館 at Minzu Rd 225 washes dogs and cats. Take it out and Pingzhen has twenty-three houses that will actually put hands on you. Forty minutes of foot work runs NT$600-800, sixty minutes full body NT$1,000-1,300 — the southern-Taoyuan band. Weeknights book easier than weekends, and if you want a slot past ten, phone first; closing hours differ house by house, posted hours rule.
Four. That is the entire list.
- 酒窩主題式啤酒屋, Zhenxing Rd 56: 4.3 stars, 460-plus reviews, the most-reviewed of the four. Busy, loud, built for a full table.
- 平鎮貨櫃啤酒屋, No. 23, Lane 161, Nanfeng Rd: 4.6 stars, 270-plus reviews, open-air container seating. The northeast monsoon has set in this late October — take a jacket if you sit outside.
- 烤霸Cow Bar, Sec. 2 of Jinling Rd 123-2: 4.8 stars, 230-plus reviews, the highest rating here, grill-and-beer.
- 銘記灶腳, Nanfeng Rd 259: 4.5 stars, 180-plus reviews, stir-fry line, same street as the container place.
The blunt part: if you want a DJ, a dance floor, techno still going at two in the morning, Pingzhen has none of it. Do not circle the district looking. Go into Zhongli — the Zhongli nightlife guide covers where to land.

Zero KTV: this one only solves outward
Pingzhen records zero, Yangmei records zero, and the Pingzhen-Yangmei KTV and massage piece already counted them once.
Zhongli’s bench is deep: 錢櫃 中壢中央店 at Zhongyang E. Rd 88 with 4,400-plus reviews, 凱悅 中壢店 at Datong Rd 136 with 4.8 stars and 3,400-plus, 星光大道KTV at Fuxing Rd 8 with 3,000-plus, and the smaller 歡唱天地卡拉ok at B1, Yanping Rd 645. The Zhongli KTV guide splits them by type and price.
Five to ten minutes going out is the easy half; the ride back is the one to plan. Sing into the small hours and the last TRA service from Zhongli Station is long gone. A taxi back to Pingzhen is cheap — what costs you is driving yourself after drinking.
The hour before home, the way locals use it
Rice noodles at the Longgang roundabout at dusk — the Longgang rice-noodle street piece maps that walk — then a session on Huannan Rd or Wenhua St around eight or nine, home by a bit past ten, at work the next morning.
Not glamorous. But it runs three times a week.
