The name
Isan, Thai อีสาน, is northeast Thailand. บ้าน means home, นวดไทย means Thai massage. The name translates as “a northeastern family’s Thai massage.”
The northeast is one of the main regions Thai massage therapists come from, and the shop puts its origin on the door. What it does is Thai: loose clothing, stretching plus pressure, no oil.

The biggest Thai shop on file in Zhongli by count is 太上皇泰式按摩養身館 at Zhongyang W. Rd Sec. 1 No. 131, 4.8 stars and over 1,330. Isan’s count is six-tenths of that, but the score holds at perfect.
Two numbers say two things. A big count means many beds, many therapists, four people in at once; a high score means steady hands and few bad sessions. Isan is the latter. Not many beds; call before you go.

The walk
Out of TRA Zhongli Station, toward Zhongshan Rd, about ten minutes, check a map for the exact route. The airport MRT A23 Zhongli Station connects as well.
Drivers: street spaces on Zhongshan Rd are hard after seven. Park at a paid lot by the station or the SOGO garage (Yuanhua Rd 357), then walk ten minutes.
Farther east on Zhongshan Rd at No. 418 is 沐春旗艦養生會館, 4.8 stars and over 660, full-body rather than Thai, the fallback if Isan is full.
Timing
Monday through Thursday, two to six in the afternoon, a same-day call usually finds a bed.
Friday and Saturday nights from seven to ten, full. Book a day ahead. Sunday afternoons are full too.
A small shop’s slots are hard. There is no “wait a moment and one opens.” Full is full.
At the door
The usual Thai routine, details vary by shop, posted rules apply. Tell the counter your time, change into loose clothes, feet washed first. The therapist starts at the feet and works up, stretches the back and legs in the middle, and finishes seated with shoulders and neck.
