A Yuli evening is not one round after another. It is one segment after another.
Ten venues on file, scattered across five streets, and only one way to string them together. This covers the whole night, from the exit at TRA Yuli Station to lying down where you sleep.
The main line runs one direction
Flatten the map: five bistro and liquor entries, one KTV, four massage shops, all on the Yuli district page.
| Segment | Time | On file |
|---|---|---|
| Eat and drink | Seated by 19:00 | Five |
| Sing | Around 21:00 | One |
| Unwind | Before close | Four |
From the station to the farthest of them is roughly a dozen minutes on foot. That is the entire radius of Yuli nightlife.
Short radius. Tight clock.
Transfer one: five entries for eating and drinking
臣佳立業餐酒館 CHEN & JIA BISTRO sits at Datong Rd 60-1, 4.9 stars, 326 reviews, phone 03 888 0025, the largest review count in town and a few minutes from the station exit. A group that wants a full meal with drinks takes this one.
深夜故事餐酒館 at Sec. 2 of Ren’ai Rd 32, 4.7 stars and 165 reviews, sits farther from the core and comes closest to an actual bar. Two or three people with a conversation to finish go here.
娟姐廚房J.J.Bistro at Zhonghua Rd 382, 4.5 stars and 129 reviews, leans home cooking over alcohol, which is where you take older relatives. 綠點酒莊TheGreenFarm outside town at 270-13, 4.8 stars and 41 reviews, has an address that stops there; without a car, leave it off tonight.
The fifth is not a sit-down. 全鴻菸酒行-花蓮玉里葡萄酒 葡萄氣泡酒 紀念酒 人氣洋酒 進口啤酒 平價酒推薦 at Guangfu Rd 150, 4.9 stars and 32 reviews, registers a long name for a simple function: buy a bottle, drink it on the guesthouse balcony.
Departure is eight, and seven is better. Past nine the streets go quiet enough to hear the river; hours are per each venue’s posted notice, but this town’s clock runs an hour ahead of yours. A proper dinner with a glass or two sits comfortably at NT$500 to 800 a head. Full list on the Yuli bars and bistros page.
Transfer two: one platform for singing
Sec. 2 of Zhongshan Rd 113. 好樂迪玉里店, 4 stars, 116 reviews, phone 03 888 8663.
That is the whole list.
No second venue to compare on price, sound or room condition. Four stars is mid-pack for a chain KTV, and Yuli has no alternative service. All three eating streets are within ten minutes on foot, which makes this the one transfer of the night that still works. Any later and even this one stops working.
Transfer three: two signs on one address
Four massage shops, all scoring five. 玉享足體按摩 /越式洗髮 has 156 reviews, 百合足體按摩 92, 吉祥茉莉SPA按摩 84, 于庭國際美學 76 — under four hundred between them. The perfect scores are real and the sample is small; do not read them as the kind of five stars a Hualien City shop builds out of a thousand reviews.
玉享 and 于庭 share Zhongzheng Rd 138, one address and two signs, and the same phone, 0966 701 731, so check the sign before you push the door. 百合 is opposite Guangming St 39, and 吉祥茉莉 is at Leyuan St 16, across from the CPC filling station.
Walking straight from drinks to a massage is a bad idea. Give it an hour. Shop-by-shop comparison in the Yuli massage guide, full list on the Yuli massage and spa page.
Segments with no service
Anyone planning a second round after half past nine should drop the idea. All three streets are walkable, but the odds of meeting a shutter beat the odds of getting a table.
If you are staying on the Chike Mountain or Antong side, do not come down to drink tonight. The mountain road is steep and dark and no taxi will climb it. That is arithmetic, not caution.
Driving an hour from Hualien City specifically to run this line is not worth it either; the same hour spent in the city reaches far denser options, a contrast this piece already drew. This line is for people already in Yuli.
Late October has the most empty seats
The Chike Mountain daylily season, August to mid-September, has just ended. During it, mountain guesthouses run out and weekend bistros fill. Now the northeast monsoon is in, valley nights have cooled, and a reservation is back to being one phone call.
Want the full sequence without the crowds? Use this gap. November through the Lunar New Year behaves much the same, only colder.
The return: if you drank, the car stays
Short taxi rides in town are possible, capacity is limited, allow time for the return and save the cab company number before you head out. Most express trains call at TRA Yuli Station; Hualien City is about an hour north and Taitung City about an hour south, so check the last local train in advance. Details in the Hualien night transport guide.
If you drank, the car stays where it is. Call a designated driver, or hand the wheel to whoever stayed sober. Light traffic on Highway 9 at night is not safety — dark and straight roads invite speed.
For another reading of the same town, the Yuli bar guide breaks the drinking segment down further.
Turn left out of the station, walk ten minutes, and tonight’s first segment is parked right there.
