No. 77 Xiangyang Rd: one building, three signboards.
Floors one to three belong to V-MIX向陽店(好樂迪集團) — 4.9 stars, 940-plus reviews; the same street number also carries NEW SPARK 向陽店 (好樂迪), a perfect score at 190-plus, and 好樂迪豐原店, 4 stars at 70-plus. Three signboards, one corporate group; lay the scores side by side and the answer surfaces on its own — book through V-MIX at 04 2528 8653.
Fengyuan’s night is not large. Unfolded, it is three roads. Walk them one at a time.
Road one: Xiangyang Rd, the singing road
That building is only the supporting act.
The lead is at No. 8, Lane 170 — 超級巨星自助式KTV 豐原向陽店, 4.7 stars, 3,080-plus reviews, the most-reviewed venue in all of Fengyuan, any category. Self-service pricing: you pick the songs and fetch the food yourself. Book at 04 2525 0022 — on weekend nights, call before you even think.
One more drink after singing needs no street crossing. 淳月Moon音樂酒吧 at No. 14, Lane 75 — 4.3 stars, 40-plus reviews. A small sample; if you expect serious cocktails, leave the downtown yardstick at home. What it sells is songs and atmosphere.
Living out by Shepi? 愛你來10元歡唱小吃店 at No. 309 Fengshe Rd, 4.5 stars, 40-plus reviews — a locals’ station. Visitors need not make the trip.
Road two: Zhongzheng Rd, the eating road
The Miaodong market fills Lane 167, Zhongzheng Rd, with Cijigong Temple right beside it at No. 179. Most stalls run until around 11 p.m., the famous ones sell out earlier, and entering between 7 and 9 p.m. is the safe window — the stall list and queue order are covered in full in the Miaodong piece, so no repeating here.
Stuffed? Walk a few steps west. 如意越式養生洗髮 at No. 497 Zhongzheng Rd — a perfect score, 550-plus reviews — does hair-wash plus neck and shoulders, the most on-the-way finish after Miaodong empties out.
For a quiet two cups of sake, turn into Fuqian St: 祈 日式居酒屋 at No. 148, 4.9 stars, 190-plus reviews. Few seats — call 0916 652 596 first.
Road three: eastward, Shuiyuan Rd and Fengdong Rd
Drinkers head east.
No. 569 Fengdong Rd — 巨人啤酒 3 Giants Brewing Company, 4.8 stars, 80-plus reviews, Fengyuan’s only house-brew craft label with its own bar. If Fengyuan’s drinks had a ranking, it sits first. 啤酒嫂 at No. 514 Shuiyuan Rd, 4.2 stars, 80-plus reviews, runs the stir-fry-and-draft-beer playbook — leave the wine-list snobbery behind.
For an izakaya at scale, head north to No. 455-2, Sec. 2, Sanfeng Rd — 熟熹日式居酒屋 Izakaya Sosi, 4.6 stars, 690-plus reviews, the most-reviewed izakaya in Fengyuan; phone 04 2526 3058.
Massage also closes this direction: 麗緻養生會館 at No. 601 Shuiyuan Rd, 4.9 stars, 340-plus reviews; for joints and alignment, 阿慶師傳統整復推拿 at No. 23, Zhongkeng Lane, Shuiyuan Rd — perfect score, 630-plus — with hours set by the on-site roster.
The return line
The TRA mountain line reaches Taichung in about thirty minutes and the last train leaves before late night — check the timetable before the Miaodong dinner starts. Miss it, and the taxi fare runs a notch above downtown rates. Drivers come and go via the Fengyuan interchange on National Freeway 1.
If you drank on Xiangyang or Fengdong Rd, there is exactly one rule: a designated driver or a taxi, and the car stays overnight.
Want a nightclub? Fengyuan has none, and forcing it is pointless — downtown is thirty minutes away, and the Qiqi club-versus-bar piece has done the comparing for you. For the full roster and scores, see the Fengyuan district page, Fengyuan bars and izakaya and Fengyuan massage.
Get the order right and nothing is rushed: Huludun Park or the station district at dusk, Miaodong after dark, crowds thinning past nine — singers turn to Xiangyang Rd, homebound riders into the station, each on their own line.
Fengyuan’s night does not stay up late; past eleven the roads go dark one by one. Singing till the end, the building on Xiangyang Rd keeps you company; drinking into the small hours, hand the ride home to a designated driver before the first bottle opens.
