Xindian KTV listings: zero.
Conclusion first, reasons below. Don’t circle the district three times before finding that out.
The zero isn’t a scraping gap
Xindian lists 53 venues: 35 massage and spa houses, 18 bars and izakayas, zero KTV.
The Xindian KTV page is empty. Same city: Sanchong four, Banqiao six, Xinzhuang three, Zhonghe and Yonghe one each, Tamsui two — Xindian none.
The night trade here grew somewhere else, and those 35 massage houses are the district’s real after-dark volume. The Xindian nightlife guide runs the timing.
The nearest answer: nine stops to Banqiao
Dapinglin Station sits at No. 190, Sec. 3 Beixin Rd., where the Songshan-Xindian line and the Circular line meet. Nine stops north: Banqiao Station.
Banqiao lists six, all within four stops of the blue line:
- No. 6 Guanqian W. Rd., 錢櫃板橋店 — 4.1 stars, 5,300-plus reviews, 02 2957 1000
- B1, No. 126 Fuzhong Rd., 凱悅YESKTV 板橋店 — 4.9 stars, 3,300-plus reviews, 02 2272 3999
- No. 71 Chongqing Rd., 覓夜 MeNight KTV — 4.4 stars, 2,000-plus reviews, 02 2955 5915
- No. 106 Guanqian E. Rd., 好樂迪板後店 — 4.1 stars, 1,700-plus reviews, 02 2961 0085
- B1, No. 183, Sec. 1 Sanmin Rd., 好樂迪KTV埔墘店 — 4.1 stars, 870-plus reviews, 02 2957 6836
- 5F, No. 61 Nanmen St., 非唱不可視聽歌唱 — 4.8 stars, 48 reviews
The two worth the ride from Xindian are the first pair: one wins on room count, the other on score. The Banqiao KTV guide sorts them station by station. Friday and Saturday after eight without a booking, those nine stops are wasted — weeknights are when walking in still works.
Eleven stops to Xinzhuang, depending on the party
Stay on the same Circular-line train two stops further: Touqianzhuang Station, B1 at No. 18 Siyuan Rd., and you’re in Xinzhuang.
凱悅YESKTV 新莊店 at No. 19, Sec. 2 Zhonghua Rd. holds 20,000-plus reviews at 4.9, the largest count in New Taipei, on 02 8991 6066. 歌喉讚KTV(新莊店) sits on the 2nd floor at No. 1 on the same stretch with 2,200-plus at 4.8.
A ten-person birthday is worth eleven stops. Three people at nine at night is not — there’s still a ten-minute walk at the far end, and an hour of the evening goes into the train. Xinzhuang KTV by occasion splits it by the kind of night.
South and east: one house each in Zhonghe and Yonghe
Zhonghe has one. 好樂迪KTV at No. 338 Jingxin St. — 4.2 stars, 1,900-plus reviews, 02 2949 3686. Four Circular-line stops south from Dapinglin to Jing’an, then one orange-line stop to Nanshijiao.
Yonghe has one. 錢櫃KTV永和樂華店 at No. 129, Sec. 1 Yonghe Rd. — 4.1 stars, 3,800-plus reviews, 02 2921 6688. Five green-line stops from Dapinglin to Guting, then one orange-line stop to Dingxi, which puts you in the Lehua night-market blocks — supper follows singing without a second leg.
Both routes are shorter than Banqiao. If you want a chain price list and an early night home, Yonghe beats Banqiao on practicality.
Tamsui’s two: don’t ride out for singing
Tamsui lists two. 好久不見歡唱俱樂部 at No. 257 Shalun Rd. — 4.2 stars, 73 reviews, 02 2805 2159. The other is a hostess-style venue, outside the range of ordinary singing rooms, and isn’t listed here.
Getting there from Xindian means the green line to Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, then the Tamsui-Xinyi line to the end — over an hour each way. A 73-review room doesn’t justify that ride. Tamsui is for the estuary at night, not for a microphone.
Not travelling? Do something else
The substitute isn’t a room with a microphone; there isn’t one here. Either you ride, or you sit down and drink for two hours.
The long-sitting options are on Sec. 2 Ankang Rd. 八角Beer Bar at No. 308 holds 490-plus reviews at 4.2, 02 2211 4558 — a beer specialist, where a table can talk without being moved on; 暖燈yebisu 啤酒專賣 at No. 2, Ln. 85 on the same stretch carries 100-plus and draws fewer people.
For quiet, 串心屋居酒屋 at No. 43-1F Xinhe St. runs 4.9 across 210-plus reviews, 02 8668 8280. For the thickest in the district, 笑居樂食居酒屋小料理 at No. 85-1F Shun’an St. holds 2,500-plus; seating is limited, so call 02 2910 9958 ahead on Friday and Saturday. Full list at the Xindian bars and izakayas page.
Handing over your legs afterwards also works. YU Lab Massage at No. 120, Sec. 3 Beixin Rd. runs a perfect score across 470-plus reviews; on B1 at the station address, No. 190, there’s 新北環狀線大坪林站視障按摩旗艦店 — 4.7 stars, 110-plus reviews, 0912 581 525 — no walking from the platform. The Xindian massage and spa guide covers how to pick among the 35.
Think about the ride home first
Last trains on both the green and Circular lines run around midnight, per Taipei Metro notices.
Work out the cross-district last-train risk before you go: finish in Banqiao at half eleven and nine stops back to Dapinglin still works; finish at one and it’s a cab or a designated driver. Sec. 1 Beiyi Rd. climbs into the hills on bends — if you’ve been drinking, don’t touch the wheel.
